Charles William "Charlie" Grigsby, Jr. (born September 15th, 1978) was a contestant on Season 2 of American Idol.
Audition[]
Charles' audition was not initially televised, but it was showcased during American Idol Rewind. He auditioned in Detroit and sang "Overjoyed" by Stevie Wonder. Although Simon voted "no", Randy and Paula voted "yes", sending him to the next round.

Charles' stay in Hollywood was not televised much, but he did enough to make the Top 32.

Charles performed in Group 1, singing "Overjoyed" by Stevie Wonder. He received enough votes to advance to the Top 12.

Charles sang "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved for You)" by Marvin Gaye. He received enough votes to be considered "safe" for that week.
