Season 11 of American Idol started the audition process in St. Louis, Missouri on June 28, 2011. After the judges traveled around the country searching for talented up-and-comers, Season 11 officially premiered on Fox on January 18, 2011. The show airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Currently Season 11 of American Idol is showing the original audition process. The auditions at North Charleston, South Carolina, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, have aired on January 18 and January 19, respectively.

Steven Tyler is a relatively new judge on American Idol. He was born Steven Victor Tallarico on March 26, 1948. He is best known for being the frontman of the rock band, Aerosmith. He became a judge on American Idol starting Season 10 and he will continue to judge during Season 11.

Scotty McCreery, born on October 9, 1993, is the young country singer from Garner, North Carolina, who won the tenth season of American Idol. He is now known for his famous songs, I Love You This Big and The Trouble With Girls.

At age 17, McCreery was the youngest male winner in the show's history as well as the second youngest winner ever behind season 6 winner Jordin Sparks, who was 17 when she won in 2007.

McCreery was born to a Puerto-Rican mother and an Irish-American father. He joked during his time on American Idol that he had a little bit of J.Lo in him. He has also been very vocal about being a devout Christian.
